The car-painting education at Haraldsbogymnasiet is an upper secondary school
where you learn all about car-painting.
This is a preparing education, so you don't get a complete vocational training.
But you do have an opportunity for a fourth year at Silkeborgs Tekniske skole
in Denmark, where you get a full vocational training.
You will also be eligible for college studies after three years of upper secondary school.
First year at this school you train as a elementary vehicle engineering to l
earn all about cars, all the parts and how they work.
And you will also get a quick course in car electricity and welding and soldering.
During the first year you can choose to specialise in
car-painting(or car mechanics/ body repair) the second and third year.
At the car-painting education you will learn everything from the foundation
to the top. You will also learn about colours and how to paint with an airbrush.
You will also study a few subjects like Maths, Swedish, English... and some more.
As a car-painter you will daily be around toxic materials.
So when you start the second year you will get informed about
all the risks and you will get a mask, gloves and clothes.
The fourth year in Denmark is a complete vocational training which a few
pupils from our school get the opportunity to go, if the teacher
considers the pupil good enough to make it. But of course it's voluntary.
You will learn how to work better, faster and more effective.
When I as a pupil chose this education I didn't know we had to go
elementary vehicle engineering first year. That's not a bad thing,
because it's both fun and very handy to know a little about cars
when you're going to work with them. But I got a bit surprised,
cause I didn't know that until I got here.
I've heard that many who apply to this think that you get an
education in airbrush-painting, you don't. Although you do
get a course in airbrush-painting during the autumn.
But the most the most important part of the education is in car-painting.
The education and the school is very good. Its great food,
fresh looking class rooms and the teachers really know their stuff.
